Today we proudly announce a successful collaboration between Radix and Grove. Radix is a Layer 1 smart contract platform with the aim of providing the radically better user and developer experience needed for everyone to confidently use Web3 and DeFi.
Radix brings several innovations that are sorely needed, including a novel transaction model, the Transaction Manifest, that is fully human readable and solves common user experience and security issues such as blind signing. The Radix Wallet will soon provide users with multi-factor authentication and recovery, reducing reliance on seed phrases. For developers, Radix brings a new “asset-oriented” programming experience with the Scrypto programming language and Radix Engine execution environment that significantly enhances developer productivity and dApp security with native first-class features for tokens, NFTs, and permissions built into the programming environment.
Many of these features and more recently launched with the Radix Babylon Mainnet Upgrade in September 2023, marking the birth of the Radix Web3 ecosystem. Over a dozen projects such as CaviarNine, Ociswap, TROVE, and DefiPlaza are now live on mainnet, boasting just over $20m in TVL. Many more projects are soon to launch, taking advantage of the unique user experience, developer experience, and security benefits of running on Radix.
RDX Works, a core developer of the Radix protocol, has also supported a number of significant partnerships or integrations in just the last few months, with the likes of Hacken, Atlan Digital, and SupraOracles. In mid-2023 the academic paper evaluating Cerberus, Radix’s novel cross-shard consensus protocol, was accepted to JSys, the Journal of Systems Research, after completing a rigorous peer review process.
The introduction of the mobile Radix Wallet also represented a significant advancement in the DeFi and Web3.0 realms. In an environment often characterized by complexity and uncertainty, the Radix Wallet is the beginning of a more secure, user-friendly, and intuitive era, catering to both seasoned DeFi enthusiasts and newcomers.
