DML Project Update — 13 October 2019
Dear DML Community,
Here is our latest update about our research and development progress. While we are designing and developing a scalable and stable infrastructure, enable user to tokenize their data is a consideration.
In DML’s infrastructure, data owners specify the data type they would like to share, and the application will have to collect the data and make it ready for business users to run machine learning algorithms on it. Since data owner is the one who own the data and give permissions, data sovereignty can be ensured when data owner can issue their data as non-fungible token.
Non-Fungible Token
Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is a token that represents something unique; non-fungible token is not interchangeable. It can be used to create verifiable digital scarcity and possible of asset interoperability with other NFTs or fungible tokens.
NFT in DML infrastructure can be issued by data owners, representing the data they provide with metadata like time, type, details of the data etc. It enables the permission be issued, traded and run on DML infrastructure.
Infrastructure supporting NFT
While Ethereum has specific token standard for NFT like ERC-721, ERC-1155, recently Cosmos Network also released their NFT module. It can be modified and integrated into DML framework logic. By making use of the module, the application and wallet can use the same process as with other Cosmos blockchain for generating messages and querying state.
