I left my career 6 months ago…

Today marks 6 months to the day that I left my corporate career as a supply chain analyst.

Since then I’ve:

  • Made some YouTube videos
  • Landed a freelance web design job
  • Started a new business
  • Built some more websites
  • Ghost wrote blog posts
  • Helped an author clean up her inbox
  • Wrote a Wikipedia article for a client
  • Joined a co-working space
  • Established a strict Monday through Thursday work week
  • Lost a good paying gig
  • Lost a child from miscarriage
  • Started meditating with the Headspace app
  • Hired a business coach
  • Read some business books
  • Landed more clients
  • Stayed patient

And through out it all, I’ve reminded myself over and over again of my favorite Tolkien quote:

“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

Thank you for being a part of my journey.
