I want to capture the summer mornings as a kid

I loved summers as a kid.

Not because there wasn’t any school (I liked school), I loved summer because of the potential.

Waking up without a schedule. Waking up with out responsibilities (other than my lawn mowing clients). Waking up with the curiosity of how I’d sieze the day.

There was no such thing as wasting time back then.

Today, life is a bit different. A lot of my time is already accounted for. I have many more responsibilities (one is named Henry).

But…

I still haven’t lost my sense of curiosity. I still see the potential each day has to offer. In a small way, I still feel the excitement of waking up every day like I’m a kid again.

That’s a good feeling. And it’s one I wouldn’t trade away for all the safety and security a full-time job has to offer.

I’m ready to make today an adventure. Are you?
