With the increasing number of service providers these days, it gets difficult for consumers to pick one. Every company comes out with the best of plans and services for their customers. With the increasing dependency on technology for day-to-day work, competition in the market is also increasing. With the aim of offering the best plan to its users, every service provider is trying to one up the other.

Here’s a list of service providers who provide great services at or under just ₹ 1,000.

1. Airtel Broadband Plans

Airtel Broadband offers its customers two plans. The ₹ 799 plan will provide you internet speeds of up to 40 Mbps. This plan also has a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) under which users get broadband data of 150 GB with 200 GB bonus data from the company. The other plan is priced at ₹ 1,099 and it will give you an internet speed of up to 100 Mbps. The broadband plan at this speed however, only gives you 300 GB of data. The company also provides a ‘Bonus Offer’ where customers get an additional 500 GB of data and a free Amazon Prime, Netflix, Zee 5 Premium and Airtel Xstream subscription.

2. ACT Fibernet Broadband Plans

The ACT Fibernet Broadband offers customers a ₹ 999 plan which is the ‘ACT Platinum Pro’. This Plan provides users with an internet speed of 150 Mbps whereas Airtel, at ₹ 1,099 provides its users with the internet speed of only up to 100 Mbps. The FUP of the Platinum Pro plan is 1000 GB and the customers get 1000 GB of extra data. As per the FUP of this plan, once the data is used up, the speed will reduce to 1 Mbps.

3. BSNL Broadband Plans

Just like Airtel Broadband plans, BSNL also has two plans close to the ₹ 1,000 mark. At ₹ 949, you get the ‘BBO ULD 949’ plan. This plan offers its users a speed of up to 10 Mbps for the first 70 GB. Thereafter, the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps. Although, if you buy a plan for ₹ 950, you will get BSNL’s ‘BBG Combo ULD 950 ASOM’ plan. This plan also provides users with only 10 Mbps of speed upto 20 GB and 2Mbps after, unlike the other two networks that offer 150 and 100 Mbps, respectively, but the customers do get a landline connection.

The Reliance Jio Fibernet Plan

Reliance Jio has finally launched its fiber broadband service, commercially. After over a year’s wait, Jio has finally revealed all the key details about its fiber-optic plans. They start at ₹ 699 per month. The company has also listed the details regarding its JioFiber plans, their pricing, booking process, landline service, Set-Top Box, content partnerships, preview plan migration, and more. It was previously announced that JioFiber will be made available to customers in 1,600 towns across India. Here is everything you need to know about the JioFiber Commercial Launch.

Plans and More

According to Reliance Jio, initially the company will be offering a total of six prepaid plans, namely Bronze (₹ 699 per month), Silver (₹ 849 per month), Gold (₹ 1,299 per month), Diamond (₹ 2,499 per month), Platinum (₹ 3,999 per month), and Titanium (₹ 8,499 per month). The Bronze and Silver JioFiber plans will offer data speeds of up to 100 Mbps, while the Gold and Diamond plans will bring you speeds of 250 Mbps and 500 Mbps, respectively. The Platinum and Titanium Plans will provide you with the speed of a whopping 1 Gbps. Apart from this, JioFiber is also going to provide customers with long-term plans for durations like 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.

The company also claimed that the JioFiber Plans will come with unlimited data for both download and upload. Although there will be a Fair Usage Policy (FUP), that will start with 100 GB+ 50 GB of the Bronze plan and will go up to 5000 GB for the highest Titanium Plan. Depending on the plan you choose, Jio will also offer free extra high-speed data up to 250 GB, initially. This free extra data is independent of each plan’s FUP limit. Unfortunately, the users with 1 Gbps plans, won’t get any free data.

What Else?

Along with internet connectivity, each of the JioFiber plans will offer free national voice calls through the company’s Home Phone Landline service, access to all OTT platforms, TV video calling, gaming, and Norton antivirus for up to 5 devices. In particular, the JioFiber Platinum and Titanium plan users will also get access to the Jio VR platform, Jio First-Day First-Show movies service, and special sports content.

When we put it out there, it is pretty obvious that Jio has a lot more to offer, compared to the other three plans in a similarly reasonable price range.

The most recommended plans for Millennials

Now, getting down to the brass tacks, the new Jio Fiber Gold plan is 35–45% cheaper compared to its rivals. At ₹ 1,299, JioFiber’s Gold Plan offers speeds of up to 250 Mbps and 500 GB data per month, with an additional 250 GB data per month whereas the Airtel V-Fiber broadband plan priced at ₹ 1,099, offers 500 GB data which is valid for only six months. Originally, the plan offers 300 GB data and speeds of up to 100 Mbps for six months.

Along with this, Jio will provide its users on an annual plan with double data, the 6-month plan offers 50% extra and the 3-month plan gives an additional 25% data. Subscribers will also get a free annual subscription to all the OTT apps in its annual Gold Plan Welcome Offer.

So, all in all, our verdict is that JioFiber looks like it will come out on top of the competition. While there might be similar offerings available from every avenue, the way JioFiber has smartly bundled its plans, each plan’s offering bucket is damn near irresistible. Among the JioFiber plans though, the clear MVP is the Gold Plan.
