Judges: Hack.Summit(“Blockchain”) 2018
Meet the judges for the hackathon’s grand prize challenge winner
We have selected a small group of influential blockchain technologists, founders, and industry leaders to determine the grand prize challenge winner for Hack.Summit(“Blockchain”).
The hackathon will take place from July 6th-8th, 2018, and winners will be announced on July 9th.
Judges for the grand prize challenge will not evaluate submissions built on their own company’s technology. Each sponsoring company (see website for list of sponsors) will separately determine the winners for their own challenges.
Rong Chen
Elastos, Founder and Chairman
Rong’s dream to create his own operating system began in 2000 when he founded Kortide Corp. Years later, with a firm belief that the smart-web powered by the blockchain is the future, he established the Elastos Foundation with partners in June 2017.
Rong was a Microsoft veteran in the early days of the internet from 1992 to 2000. He collaborated in the development of a wide portfolio of projects at Microsoft, such as OS research, IE3 ActiveX, Ole Automation, ECOM, .NET.
Anastasia Green
Aura, CEO and Founder
Anastasia founded Aura, a decentralized developer recruitment network, to use change the way companies hire remote tech talent. She believes that blockchain tech, with its inherent transparency and reputation, has the potential to transform this traditional industry.
Anastasia is a serial entrpreneur and blockchain community builder in San Francisco and Ukraine. She was previously the CEO of Aware Mind, which creates chatbots that stimulate productivity through meditation and awareness. She was also an organizer of Hackers & Founders events in Ukraine and Amsterdam.
Neeraj Murarka
Bluzelle, Co-founder and CTO
Neeraj is a software engineer and computer systems architect with over 20 years expertise in cutting edge technology. He has worked on projects for Google, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Lufthansa, Thales Avionics, and Zynga. Some of Neeraj’s largest projects include: locking down of modified Android OS for retail markets; multicast UDP satellite-based music streaming systems, mobile app for blockchain startup “Zeroblock”; design and development of secure and FFA-approved systems for Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft.
Zane Witherspoon
Dispatch Labs, Co-founder and CTO; The Bureau, Founding partner; DJ ETH Ledger
Zane is an experienced blockchain architect and distributed systems specialist. He is firmly entrenched as an expert in the blockchain world, sitting on the board of advisors for four blockchain companies.
Joe McCann
NodeSource, Founder and CEO
NodeSource is the Node.js company. Node.js is the fastest growing open source technology on Earth and is being used by 100% of the Fortune 500. With more than 17 years of web, mobile and software development experience, Joe has worked with myriad Fortune 500 companies helping them build real, usable products.
Scott Hanselman
hanselman.com, blogger; Microsoft, Principal Program Manager
Scott is a web developer who has been blogging at hanselman.com for over a decade. He works as the Principal Program Manager for Microsoft Azure, ASP.NET, and Web Tools for Microsoft out of his home office in Portland, Oregon. Scott has three podcasts, hanselminutes.com for tech talk, thisdeveloperslife.com on developers’ lives and loves, and ratchetandthegeek.com for pop culture and tech media.
