Why Do We?

If god doesn’t exist then does it really matter? Does anything really matter? I think the answer is yes and that’s why I’m here.

I don’t want to knock anybody’s faith. If it gives you comfort so be it. However, don’t make the mistake of thinking that a lack of faith must be accompanied by fear and dread regarding any possible afterlife. That’s not necessarily the case.

Some people will say that faith is difficult. I don’t understand this. I think that true faith should be easy. You go with the flow. If you have any questions, you also have built-in answers. If you don’t like the answers you are given, it shouldn’t be too difficult finding a religion saying what you want to hear.

The figurehead of most faiths is often vengeful, fickle, and maddeningly inconsistent. As least the Greeks imbued their gods with human emotions. Maybe it is fitting that trying to please their 21st century counterpoints can be an almost Herculean tasks.
