Opening new job positions
Hello there! It looks like we are hiring again. This time we are planning to expand our current team so we are opening several new positions for different levels of expertise and technologies.
First of all, let us introduce ourselves. Deemaze is a software company that has been working mainly in mobile and web development for the last 6 years. Our core technologies are Swift, Kotlin, Ruby on Rails, React, and Elixir/Phoenix.
Currently, we are looking for adding more people to our crew to support the current projects we are working on and to soon start building our own new product. We’re a company based in Coimbra, Portugal and we have a team of 12 really nice people. 👌

What we are looking for
There are some commonly required attributes we are asking for the 4 positions we have currently open:
- Have a good eye for details;
- Being a proactive and open-minded person, always ready to address new challenges;
- Have the ability to think critically but also accept constructive criticism;
- Being independent is great, but knowing when to ask for help is also very important;
- Have the ambition to grow not only personally but also within the company;
- Being motivated to contribute to the growth and wealth of Deemaze.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or a similar field;
- Familiarity in working with agile methodologies;
- Good communication skills;
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
- Long-term commitment.
What job positions we are offering
Senior/mid web developer
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical decisions in software projects;
- Work and coordinate the development of project documentation like system architecture, wireframes, diagrams, and code documentation;
- Improve operations and recommend changes in the project tools and methodology;
- Help to mentor and follow junior devs work;
- Understand business and product needs, and know how to create the right solutions to the identified problems.
Required for this position:
- Have, at least, 3 years of work experience in web development;
- Experience in development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of web-based applications;
Nice to have:
- Experience in Ruby on Rails, Elixir/Phoenix, and/or React.

Mid/junior web developer
Required for this position:
- Experience using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and at least one backend framework;
- Experience in development and maintenance of a web application;
Nice to have:
- Experience in Ruby on Rails, Elixir/Phoenix, and/or React;
- Experience in deployment of a web application;
- Familiarity with automated testing;
- Experience using git.

Mid/junior iOS developer and Mid/junior Android developer
Required for this position:
- Experience in development and maintenance of a mobile application;
- Experience in the iOS native tech stack (Swift or Objective-C) [iOS position];
- Experience in the Android native tech stack (Kotlin or Java) [Android position];
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with automated testing;
- Experience in deployment of a mobile application;
- Experience using git.
