“I am” and the importance of self-declaration
I AM…
Whenever you feel less than, it’s important to take a look inward for a mental huddle, a refresher on all the things that you are. The next time you’re alone, whether it’s in the office or driving in your car, say out loud all that you might be. Avoid negative declarations such as “I am not scared.” Say, instead, “I am brave.” You’ll be surprised how much better you feel after you’ve taken the opportunity to be kind to yourself.
I am…
… honest.
… artistic.
… an individual.
… respected.
… stronger than I think.
… integrity.
… happy to be here.
… better off than so many in the world.
… all that I need in life (but will continue to love others).
… good at making lists.
… in ample supply of red wine.
… a sky rocket in flight.
