Drone Helped In Locating The Missing Girl

In Jackson Spring, The Moore County Sheriff’s Office used a drone to locate a missing girl. According to the Sheriff’s Office, it took less than 15 minutes for the drone to spot the girl’s infrared signature.

Lt. Tim Davis, the operator of the drone, used the radio to guide the Sheriff’s deputies through the woods. The deputies located the girl around 10:30 p.m. sleeping under the tree.

Sheriff Neil Godfrey says that the agency was thinking to use helicopter in search of the missing child. In a statement he also stated that, “This is a perfect example of why we invested in this drone capability.”

It is understandable, that how this drone technology can benefit the citizens as well as the deputies.
