Ecologists, scientists, researchers, industries are increasingly using drones to gather data. Drones have also been designated as game-changers for wildlife population monitoring.

Evaluating the accuracy of wildlife count data is not easy as seems. With innovation of drones, it will become easier to count the wildlife. Apart from drone serving the agricultures and farmers, they will also be used in wildlife count.

Lately, drone was experimented to count the replica of seabird colonies, and the data driven from drone were more accurate than ground counts. The height and resolution of the camera played a major role in this count. Additional experiments will be required to determine the ability of drones to survey animals that are hidden and those within complex habitats.

The world is rapidly innovating, and technologies like drone can prove beneficial to the scientists, researchers to gather timely data.
