The famous social media platform ‘Facebook’ and ride-sharing service ‘Uber’ have been granted for the permission from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) to test and operate drones in the country. By 2020, Uber has been thinking and aiming to bring flying cars to Los Angeles with NASA’s help.

According to Business Daily Africa, Facebook and Uber have showed a keen interest to the KCAA in order to test the UAV technologies in the African nation. “Facebook and Uber have requested if we can allow them to test their projects in the country,” said Gilbert Kibe, General Director of KCAA.

Well, if the two big giants are permitted to test the UAV, then Kenya would be the third country on the African continent behind Rwanda and South Africa to have an established, legal framework regarding drone testing.
