Nokia is actively working on brainstorming use-cases for drones in the agriculture and public safety sectors and establishing a reliable drone network for Australian airspace.

Nokia has formerly worked with the University of Technology Sydney. “We discussed with the university we need to put the framework in place, we would like to work with different entities here,” said Head of Internet of Things Market Solutions, Mohamed Abdelrehim.

Even since Nokia entered the Drone industry, it has been working hard in establishing management systems and frameworks in various parts of the world. Abdelrehim explained- “What happens is based on the solutions, we are able to put all the software of the network in a backpack, and the backpack has full LTE network and drones can go in the areas that is beyond human access.”
