Passenger Drones To Become A Current Reality

UAV’s got a huge potential to activate new and innovative application across industries. And the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) can carry passenger through the air, adding a new dimension to urban mobility.

Last year a Singapore based Drone Company, took the flight which lasted for 5 minutes, and this year, a Chinese Drone Company left us awe-struck with its test flight. Ehang’s founder said that “This makes you feel like you have travelled into the future like you’re in a sci-fi movie. But this is real.”

A German Drone Company is also racing in this field. “One of the challenges I foresee would be (drones) meeting all aviation safety standards, criteria and infrastructure,” said Albert Sng, Nanyang Polytechnic Engineering lecturer. He hopes that both law and technology will catch up with each other soon and make passenger drone a mainstream reality.
