The effects of drone on variety of agricultural practices and behaviour of livestock have been studied by the researchers at Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. According to Farmer’s Weekly, the evidence gathered is assumed that sheep are brave enough and are in their regular patterns of behaviour by nearby drones.

According to Dan Swafford, a project associate for Virginia Cooperative Extension, said- “Farms could use drones as a ‘check-on’ tool to ensure sheep are where they are supposed to be.” This only makes sense to use drones for monitoring livestock and conditions on farmland.

A camera-drone was flown over a flock of sheep at varying heights from 23 meters to 3 meters. It was noticed that some sheep were looking at the drone, some walked away and some ignored the device pointing towards rapid adaptation.
