The Olympics opening ceremony is always a big show, and this year for the Pyeongchang Games, a record- setting performance of 1,218 drones was recorded. The drones flying in synchronization created light-up images of Olympic sports and the iconic Olympic rings. Isn’t it amazing?

Drone show was also observed before at the Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show. But the drone show at the Olympics opening ceremony, left everyone awestruck, and there’s really never been anything like it.

Intel’s shooting star drones are about a foot-long, weight eight ounces and can fly in formation for up to 20 minutes. “It’s in essence technology meeting art,” says Anil Naduri, general manager of Intel’s drone group.
