DeepCloud AI Announces Partnership with National University of Singapore, Ranked 4th Best Global University for Computer Science by US News & World Report

Earlier this past quarter, DeepCloud AI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National University of Singapore, one of the world’s leading academic and research institutions in the field of computer science. In US News & World Report’s most recent rankings, the National University of Singapore is currently ranked 4th in the world for their cutting-edge research in software engineering and design, artificial intelligence theory, programming languages, information systems and information technology. The cooperative agreement between the University’s School of Computing’s Department of Computer Science & DeepCloud AI is multi-faceted.

Four Areas of Cooperation:

  1. The exchange of scientific, technical, academic information and appropriate materials and information of mutual interest for which each Party holds intellectual property rights.
  2. The identification of opportunities for exchanges and cooperation and join research and development in disciplines of mutual interest (pertaining to decentralized cloud computing, distributed networks, artificial intelligence, etc.)
  3. The identification of opportunities for the commercialization of technology
  4. The organization and participation in joint academic and scientific activities (such as seminars, conferences, and other functions of relevancy)

In addition to the four areas of cooperation, there will be a Management Committee (with members from both parties) overseeing the collaborative activities contemplated under the MoU. To facilitate the long-term development of any projects, there will also be periodic negotiations to discuss and determine appropriate financing options between both parties.

Under the MoU, there are also conditions for both parties to work in amore collaborative manner to ensure joint intellectual property rights and publications of any technological developments made throughout the duration of this agreement. The MoU was officially signed in January of 2019, and will remain in effect for a period of 2 years. The MoU was signed by Professor Mohan S. Kankanhalli, Dean of School of Computing at NUS and Miroslav Sala, Chief Product & Strategy Officer at DeepCloud AI.
