Debugging — All developers understand exactly what we are talking about. It is a combination of being Sherlock Holmes, McGyver, Nicola Tesla, and Superman. And we all have to do it if we like it or not. Mostly we don’t. Interestingly: While you find tons of help to start something new — a language, a framework, an architecture paradigm — but good help on the art of debugging is actually quite scarce. DeepCode to the rescue — we provide both the best tool in on the market and the help on good processes all around. This year, we will have a Summer Academy on Debugging. We will provide blog articles on our brand new blog, as well as videos, code snippets, puzzles, and much much more. We plan to open-source all of it and ask you to join in to share your best tools, methods, or meditation mantras all around debugging.

What to Expect

We will structure the Summer Academy more like a colloquium. No need to start on day one and invest an hour every day, rather we will provide structured content that you can jump right into the points that interest you the most. As a structure, we will follow the development life cycle and sort the tools, methods, ideas into the triad of People, Processes, Technology. Please have a look at our intermediate Table of Contents below. So, look out for this year’s Summer Academy.

We want to provide the start for a living collection of materials crossing different mediums. For sure, we will provide blog articles that we then will put on a GitHub repo and ask you to add or change by using PRs. We will also provide code snippets, videos, nuts to crack, …

We published a Table of Contents on our blog here.

You can start to give us feedback right away. What is missing? What should we also cover? Do you want to add content made by you? Sure, tell us. hello@deepcode.ai
