Chapter 2.0: Regression

Curve-Fitting With Stochastic Gradient Descent

In this chapter, we address a specific class of problems that are easy to solve, yet quite important; fitting curves using different classes of regression functions.

Both a linear and a quadratic model seem to fit these data points fairly well. How do we find lines and curves of best fit, and how can we compare them to each other?
