All versions of DeepStack AI Server are now free.

DeepQuest AI is proud to announce that DeepStack AI Server is now 100% free for both personal, research and commercial purposes. This means all versions which include the CPU, GPU and Raspberry Pi version can be installed and deployed without registration and activation key. Kindly learn more in the details provided below

Why make DeepStack free?

DeepStack reached 1 million + installs on Docker Hub on April 30, 2020. This is a major milestone for our team and we are surprised by how much global impact we have made with the product in the past 1 year that it was launched. We realized that our dream to bring state-of-the-art AI to the every individual, team and organization through the use of easy to setup and deploy AI APIs becomes more important than ever. The product’s development was driven by our team’s vision to make global impact through the use of Artificial Intelligence to drive productivity across many fields of work and study.

DeepStack since its public availability in March 2019 has been offered on free and paid plans until this moment. Despite the free version having limited features compared to the paid tier, it has empowered many developers, companies and IoT engineers across the world to use AI in ways they could not do before. Therefore, to ensure users of the product continue to develop and innovate without constraints, we decided to get rid of the paywall and make all features of the product available for free.

What’s next?

Yes! In a couple of months, DeepStack will be open-sourced. We are making this decision because we strongly believe that the true potentials of the product and its ecosystem will be unleashed when the code base is open to the community. This was validated during the development and launch stage of the product as feedback from different experts around the world shaped the product into what it is today. Therefore, we will be opening the product and its ecosystem to the community to reuse, contribute and share alike.

We are absolutely thrilled about the future of DeepStack as an open, free and community-developed platform for building AI systems both on the edge and in the cloud. DeepStack will be actively maintained with lots of exciting new features, performance improvements, support for more hardware platforms and deeper integration with container orchestration tools, including Kubernetes, to come.
We look forward to this unleashing the creativity and ingenuity in every developer.
