Dev Update: May 27, 2022
Greetings to all in the kingdoms! This week was a busy week with the opening of the Hatchery and the ability to hatch blue and grey eggs. Our Heroes have been busy getting to know all their new pets.
The Front-end Team spent the last 2 weeks plugging in all of the amazing assets for egg hatching that many of you in Serendale have been enjoying this week. Additionally, they plugged in the beautiful new art style of the Marketplace. Make sure you take time to look around.
The Solidity Team has been hard at work on creating a new player to player token exchange system. Additionally, they are working on creating a Dev Docs website so you can see all the work that goes into building for you. And lest those those of you in Crystalvale think you’ve been forgotten, they have also been working on new Crystalvale quest contracts. The API Team is well on their way to implementing version 7 of the API. This will be completely server-less and allow us to scale very well. The first resident in v7 will be the new Achievement system.
As you’ve seen from the amazing pets being hatched lately, the Art Team has been hard at work as well. After finishing the first 2 sets of pets for egg hatching, they have already begun conceptualizing the next wave of pets. We can’t wait to see what they come up with! Meanwhile, the Lore Team has started working on a website repository for lore related items as well as working with the Marketing Team to find new ways to bring you all that great lore about the kingdoms.
The Mechanics Team has been finalizing the bonuses that pets will provide heroes, as well as the remaining requirements needed for level 10 fishing and foraging quests.
The Task Force Team has made massive progress on DFK Duels, and currently has a working version in testing. June can’t come soon enough! They are also polishing a DeFi Kingdoms splash screen to bring you pertinent information every time you log into the game.
