Introducing Patrols — Entry Level Combat for All!

Patrols are the best, easiest, and fastest way to get started in DeFi Kingdoms!

Exclusively on Metis, and starting tomorrow, January 15, Heroes will be able to Patrol the Colosseum, keeping the citizens of Submersia safe from rogues and criminals! The city greatly appreciates this service, and rewards those Heroes with XP, Gold, and the opportunity for unique loot drops!

Patrols

Patrols is designed as a roguelite, choose-your-own-adventure, progressive-style system. Players can choose to enter their three Heroes into Patrols with level ranges 1–3, 4–6, or 7–9. Once they defeat the first group of three enemies, they can stop there and claim rewards, or risk continuing for greater rewards. When continuing, players can stay in the same tier of Patrol or advance to the next higher level.

Each of the levels of a Patrol comes with a unique pool of enemies, and the three that you face in each round are randomly determined. Additionally, each enemy rewards a different amount of XP and Gold, as well as determining what unique loot you have a chance to receive! Unique loot includes 8 new unique pieces of equipment, 1 new consumable item, and more!

Also, Patrols features a free-to-try version, allowing anyone to experience the game and combat system without needing to own their own Heroes!

If you are new to DeFi Kingdoms, you can access Patrols by visiting https://game.defikingdoms.com while connected to a Metis RPC. Visit the Registry zone and speak to Deputy Gillford Finnigan, the Patrols NPC. Select the option in the menu for the Patrols Demo, where you will be placed into combat with three Heroes provided for you!

Once in combat, each Hero has a basic attack, at least one combat skill (depending on the Hero level), and two abilities to select from as you battle your enemies. This is a great place to try out combat and see how it works.

Getting Started

Once you’re ready to move on and earn rewards with your own Patrols, visit the Barkeep in the Docks zone to purchase a team of Heroes and head back to the Registry to get started! In order to Patrol the Colosseum, Heroes need to be Pledged as Bannermen in the service of the city, which is also done in the Registry at the Recruiter NPC.

The Warrior, Archer, Priest, Knight, Seer, and Berserker classes are all combat ready, however, for new players, a team made up of a selection of Warrior, Archer, Priest, and Knight class Heroes is recommended as a simpler starting team, and of the same or very similar level.
