Patch Notes Update — March 16, 2022
It’s finally time! If you stand on the pier and look out to the edges of the vast ocean, you’ll see thousands of ships dotting the horizon. Some move brightly, almost chipper, as they carve the waves on their trek back home. Others haven’t fared as well, limping along with tattered flags and hulls riddled with gashes where wood has been stripped away. Still others haven’t returned at all.
But for all those long-awaited vessels, the Perilous Journey is finally drawing to a close. Some Heroes have braved the mysterious waters and come back stronger for it, while others have succumbed to the ocean’s cold embrace. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. They have helped plot a course to a magnificent new land of ice and mystery!
The following items are now available in BETA and production.
NEW FEATURES
- Head down to the docks to wait for your Heroes’ ships and see who survived and who perished on the Perilous Journey. For those that didn’t make it, an extra share of treasure (suspiciously Hero-shaped) has been sent back with the remains of the ship. To collect: — Go to Docks and talk to the Dockmaster — Click on Perilous Journey — Click on Check For Survivors — For the group you want to check, click Check Crew List & Rewards and confirm the transaction — See which Heroes survived and which perished.
- Strange new treasure has been discovered along the journey and returned in lieu of perished Heroes. These items include a bevy of new enhancement stones and attunement crystals that have strange effects in the portal and meditation circle respectively.
- All non-Gen0 Heroes that survived the voyage have come back stronger than ever. To that end, each of these survivors have an option now to boost three of their stats by 5 points. Click the Boost Stats button in your Profile modal to iterate through each boost-able survivor and upgrade their stats or click their badge in your My Heroes page. Those extra stats will only be available until 2pm EDT on 4/4 so get out there and boost!
- All survivors will have a permanent badge of honor to signify their completion of the Perilous Journey. Keep an eye out for these special Heroes in the Tavern! They’re the ones with the thousand-yard stare.
- The Dockmaster has helped facilitate a temporary memorial for your lost Heroes. There are talks of adding a more permanent monument some day that might even shed some light on how each of your Heroes met their final fate.
- Ever since the Heroes have started arriving back in town, the meditation circle seems to have a different glow to it. A mysterious new Moksha Rune has been found that seems to allow — — Heroes to level above the current cap of 10 (some have mentioned that the cap might have jumped all the way up to 20).
- If you thought you knew everything you could possibly know about your Heroes, think again! Now you can check out their Stat Growth percentages on their Hero cards and in their details page, as well, through the interface.
BUGS WE MADE DISAPPEAR:
- As much as everyone loves browser alerts, we figured a pleasant popup would be a little more friendly for displaying errors or notifications.
- Resolved an issue where inventory quantities would sometimes be inaccurate due to multiple events registering from the smart contract.
- Misc. bugs that were sent out on the Perilous Journey that thankfully never came back.
