You can now find us at blog.defisaver.com.👋

Back in 2019 when we first started working on CDP Saver we posted the few initial release posts at the Decenter blog, before deciding to branch out DeFi Saver content, which is when we started the DFS Medium publication. Medium is quick to setup and looks great, which makes it an attractive option

However, it was always somewhat known that Medium can be hit and miss for any crypto related articles and we’ve known of teams that had issues even back in 2017 and 2018 while we were working on earlier Decenter projects, such as Cryptage and Cryptographics.

More recently, there was the example of Alchemix’s blog being taken down by Medium in the midst of their alETH vault issues. While their Medium blog has been reinstated later on, being locked out from one of the usually most prominent channels of communication for a team during such a crucial period is certainly a massive inconvenience, to put it very mildly.

In order to avoid any such issues in critical (or really any) times, we have decided to move from Medium to a self-hosted blog. Specifically, we have chosen to go with Ghost, which is an open-source blogging platform. Ghost has been recommended by both Nate in the twitter thread linked above, as well as our friends at team 0x who recently made the same switch.

As of today the official DeFi Saver blog will be at blog.defisaver.com.

All new content will be posted exclusively on the new blog, while all previous posts will remain available on both platforms for the time being.

Thank you for the tens of thousands of views and hundreds of followers on Medium. We plan to heavily ramp up content from our end now that this switch has been made and we certainly hope to see you at the new blog, too! 🙏
