Fantasy Sports and Betting market place is humongous standing at US$104 billion at the time of writing. After considering the market growth, it would be over 270 billion by 2024. Despite this fact, most of the users or corporations working on fantasy sports and betting games have to face a lot of hurdles. The ever increasing regulations and censorship have completely made operations complex and non-incentivizing for the corporations. On top of that, players or the community have mixed reactions on the authenticity and transparency of the platform. Along with all of these hassles, there is very high taxation that further complicates the process.

What’s the Way Out?

Blockchain capitalizes on all of these challenges and provides a level playing field where enterprises, stakeholders and players can easily participate in this extravagant earning alternative and sustain in the ecosystem. DeFi 11, a layer 2 blockchain powered gaming Dapp gives leverage back to the community where they can anonymously play games and continue sustaining their finances by participating in fantasy sports. The platform has cricket and soccer in the Alpha release, but the future roadmap promises a lot of other sports and NFT Gaming as well. As it is built on a layer 2.0 blockchain, it addresses scalability and transaction throughput challenges.

What it aims to solve in centralized gaming that remains unsolvable at present?

Misuse of Information

Often there are traces of insider trading in these gaming platforms. Most of the time, it could happen due to employees that are working in the same organization and they have information to manipulate for their quick success and money making tactics.

Artificial Market Making

Most of the centralized gaming platforms show false or skewed volumes on their platform to lure customers. In this way, players are fooled to believe in false reported data.

No Audits

There’s no guarantee to support that the winners are legit. In the absence of the right audit mechanism, the players or investors on the game are forced to accept the cliche “In Platform, We Trust.” Even if the platform is simply looting them without their knowledge.

User Privacy

User privacy is a major concern in centralized gaming platforms and such data can be used for ulterior motives.
