DeFi11 is Integrating Chainlink Sports Data Feeds to Enable Blockchain-Based Sports Applications

DeFi11 is excited to announce that we are integrating decentralized sports data feeds powered by industry-leading oracle network Chainlink. We will begin by using these Chainlink-powered sports oracles on the Polygon network to unlock various sports-themed DApps, such as fantasy sports leagues.

DeFi11 is a DeFi-powered gaming ecosystem for fantasy sports, NFTs, and sports prediction markets. Running as a chain-agnostic mobile application with an in-built wallet, we aim to level up fantasy sports applications by creating a transparent and verifiable ecosystem in which users can connect from around the world and be assured no data was manipulated.

Part of powering many of our applications requires on-chain access to sports information, such as the outcome of matches and player statistics. Our smart contracts then use this data to take actions like settling prediction markets, minting sports-based NFTs or crowning a fantasy football champion for the week. As such, the data used to determine these outcomes needs to be highly reliable and tamper-proof, especially considering the automated nature of smart contract settlement.

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network, providing a framework for building and accessing oracle solutions that allow smart contracts to access external data and computations. Through Chainlink oracles, DeFi11 will have secure and reliable access to the sports data required to run sports applications end to end.

Some of the main reasons we decided to use Chainlink as our go-to oracle network include:

• High-Quality Data – Chainlink oracles can manage API keys and account logins, allowing them to aggregate and deliver premium data from highly available and financially incentivized API providers.
• Reliable Nodes – Chainlink Sports Data Feeds are secured by a large collection of independent, security-reviewed, and Sybil-resistant oracle nodes run by leading enterprises, data providers, and DevOps teams who have a strong on-chain history of performance, even during extreme network congestion.
• Decentralized Infrastructure – Chainlink Sports Data Feeds are decentralized at the data source and oracle network levels, eliminating any central point of failure in the sourcing and delivery of external data to DeFi11.
• Transparent Performance – Chainlink Sports Data Feeds can be monitored by anyone in real-time using existing data analytic tools such as market.link and reputation.link, allowing users to verify the data triggering their contract.
