How to easily bridge an ERC-20 token from Ethereum to BSC using Multichain.xyz
DefiDollar DAO Token — $DFD can now be bridged over from Ethereum to Binance Smart Chain via the Multichain.xyz cross chain bridge.
The DefiDollar community will be able to leverage $DFD on Binance Smart Chain in a variety of ways including interactions with the soon to be live DefiDollar product suite on BSC.
In this article we give a step by step instructions on how to swap $DFD (Or any ERC-20 listed on Multichain.xyz) from Ethereum to the Binance Smart Chain.

Tutorial on how to swap DFD From ETH to Binance Smart Chain
1. Connect Metamask to Binance Smart Chain
Method 1 — Via GUI
You can do it via Chainlist.org
Search for BSC and add click “Add to Metamask” for the card with ChainID — 56.
You will get a pop up , Click on “Switch Network” and you are done!
Method 2 — Manually
- Open Metamask in your browser and Go to Settings
- Choose “Add Network”
- Enter the following details:
Network Name: Binance Smart Chain Mainnet
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
URL: https://bscscan.com/
- Then click “Save”
2. Add $DFD Token to Metamask
- Switch the network from Ethereum Mainnet to BSC Mainnet
- Click on Add Token
- Switch to the the Custom Token tab and enter the DFD token contract address. Metamask itself will update the token symbol and Decimals of Precision. Once populated click on “Next”

- Click “Add Tokens” to finish.
Done! Your wallet will now reflect your DFD balance once you swap your DFD tokens from Ethereum to BSC.
3. Swap $DFD Tokens From Ethereum to BSC
- Go to the Multichain.XYZ bridge for DFD
- Check to ensure you are on the Ethereum Mainnet
Enter the amount of $DFD Tokens you want to transfer from Ethereum to BSC.
Click on “Transfer”.
It will prompt asking you to confirm the transcation. Once the transaction gets minted on chain, switch your Network on Metamask to Binance Smart Chain to view the tokens.
Do note that BNB is used to pay gas fees on BSC, if you do not have BNB already you can withdraw some from your Binance account to your BSC address.
