We see a future where DeFi isn’t just a parallel to traditional finance (TradFi) but rather a dominant force. With decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and lending protocols already gaining ground relative to their centralized counterparts, it’s clear that DeFi has the potential to change the fabric of our financial system. We’re at the beginning of this shift, and Definitive aims to lead the transition by making DeFi more accessible and efficient for everyone involved.
Problem
While DeFi’s potential is boundless, navigating the nuances of DeFi protocols pose significant challenges.
For Investors…
Transacting in DeFi today is still crude and largely manual. It doesn’t matter if you’re a large hedge fund or an individual trader, users are forced to hop across multiple UIs to keep track of all their positions. There’s also a lack of automatic position management (a staple in CeFi) and P&L reporting is non-existent. Users today are simply unable to get the most out of DeFi as they’re left to their own devices for execution.
For Developers…
The sheer number of DeFi protocols has grown exponentially in recent years, and each protocol has unique mechanisms, smart-contract interfaces, and integration challenges. Additionally, developers lack tooling for managing workflows such as claiming rewards, auto-compounding, risk management, anomaly detection, and accurate reporting. Because of these complex hurdles, developers often shy away from implementing robust DeFi offerings in their applications.
In short, there is NO turnkey solution for executing powerful DeFi strategies with high precision and robustness.
Definitive: Sophisticated DeFi Execution
Definitive is an execution platform and API for DeFi, offering non-custodial smart contracts and automation services across many DeFi protocols. Every Definitive smart contract is backed by a powerful and proprietary off-chain engine. Together, they work in tandem to streamline DeFi execution for end users, from complex yield strategies to high frequency trading algorithms.
Definitive Platform
The Definitive Platform is a web-based app for DeFi investors (both individual and institutional). It is live on 6 chains and integrated with 20+ protocols. Everything is available via one unified UI, so no need to change tabs and constantly refresh DeFi positions. Once onboarded onto the platform, users can access two flagship products:
Advanced Yield [Live]
The Advanced Yield product offers users access to institutional-grade DeFi yield strategies. These strategies are composed using a curated selection of the best performing DeFi protocols, carefully architected to enhance returns while automatically managing risk exposure. While the strategies are sophisticated, participating is simple. Definitive only requires users to perform a single deposit transaction for a single asset into each strategy. Once deposited, Definitive takes the wheel and automatically handles all execution nuances such as divesting reward tokens, rebalancing positions, and managing risk (see Automation & Monitoring below).

Advanced Trade Execution [Coming Soon]
The Advanced Trade Execution product enables users to execute advanced order types such as TWAPs and VWAPs, which are commonplace in CeFi (we built the one at Coinbase) but still in their infancy in DeFi. Users set configurations such as Input/Output token, Quantity, Limit Price, Start time, and Duration, and Definitive does the heavy lifting of finding the best price across DEXs and chains, ensuring every order is executed with front-running and price impact (PI) protection and minimal slippage. Finally, detailed post-trade execution reports with fill data are made available to round out a complete institutional-caliber trading experience for DeFi.
Definitive API
The Definitive API lets others build on Definitive’s yield and execution infrastructure. The API streamlines and standardizes multiple DeFi protocols within a single unified strategy interface. Today, with just a few lines of code, wallets, custodians, and aggregators can easily launch a DeFi Earn product for their users with Definitive’s powerful infra as foundational bedrock!
Definitive’s SDK provides all the read/write functions in a standardized format to simplify strategy interaction. Each integration is configurable based on the developer’s needs, and all metrics are provided by Definitive, so there is no need for subgraphs or additional data engineering.
As an added benefit, developers gain access to Definitive’s comprehensive suite of reporting, monitoring, and position management automation services, enabling them to craft best-in-class experiences for their customers.

Definitive isn’t just another DeFi platform; it’s an end-to-end solution thoughtfully designed to give users an advantage when its comes to engaging DeFi.
Automation & Monitoring
Definitive’s strength lies in its low-latency monitoring and automation engine. This engine analyzes millions of real-time events and proactively manages positions by automating tasks such as scaling in and out of positions, compounding yield, and adjusting leverage.
Examples of some of the monitors include:
- Relative Liquidity: This configurable risk-control monitor limits the percentage of liquidity provided to a protocol pool relative to all other liquidity participants on-chain. For example, if a client sets a 5% target ratio against a protocol’s TVL, Definitive’s automation engine ensures the user’s funds remain at or below that threshold.
- Peg Price Monitor: This monitor tracks the price drift between base and quote assets (base/quote) for risk management. Clients can set optional maximum and minimum price boundaries, with Definitive immediately trading out of (or into 😈) the depegging asset if either limit is exceeded.
- Leverage LTV Monitor: This monitor manages the leverage within a target range and automatically rebalances the position when that range is exceeded preventing any liquidation from occurring while maximizing yield.
Configurability
Unlike other protocols, Definitive smart contracts are fully configurable. Every monitor accepts adjustable parameters that can be dynamically updated to adapt to changing market and risk conditions. In the screenshot below, changing the Threshold Offset to a lower/higher number will trigger the automation engine to rebalance the position when breached.
Although the configurable parameters can be technical in nature, Definitive provides out-of-the-box templates to make it easy for new users.
Reporting
A significant challenge in DeFi is tracking and reporting on positions. When positions span multiple protocols, the complexity of tracking grows exponentially.
Definitive ensures all funds on the platform are meticulously tracked, with live balances and fully-browsable activity history (verifiable on-chain in the smart contract). We also provide exportable reports for transparency and compliance along with detailed P&L views.
Non-Custodial & Transparent
Gone are the days where your money goes into a black box. With Definitive, users always maintain full custody over their positions via our smart contracts. Definitive’s automation managers are whitelisted to perform only pre-determined strategy actions.
Furthermore, every trade, transfer, rebalance, and compound will be completely observable from the verified smart contract on-chain.
