Deftify Monthly Update: May 2022

May was another huge month for us at Deftify as we continued all aspects of development and sought to grow our community. Updates to Metacurse, advisor additions, progress on core development milestones and even some strong representation at a community hackathon are just some of the highlights from the month.

In this update, we go through some of the key events from May and look forward to what we’ve got planned for June.

Metacurse landing page

Metacurse development is progressing well, with feedback from our closed beta already feeding through to the game. Our artists and designers have been busy animating sprites and drawing concept art, and we’re excited to share some of the results!

We recently launched the updated Metacurse landing page, featuring a description of the game and some of the characters you’ll be able to play as. This is an exciting step as we hone our vision for the game, and we can’t wait to get more testers playing later this year.

NEXTYPE Hackathon

Throughout April and May we participated in the NEXTYPE FIND FUTURE GAMEFi hackathon — a competition that pitted some of the hottest upcoming P2E projects against one another.

The competition had two components: a public vote and a pitch competition. While we didn’t win the public vote — coming seventh out of 39 projects with an overwhelming 13,083 votes — the results of the pitch competition are still pending, and we’re in with a great shot.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported us with their votes! The results will be finalized in the coming weeks, and we’ll keep you updated as they’re released.

This won’t be the last time you’ll see us on the competition stage, so keep an eye on our announcements for more chances to show your support!

Advisor addition

We were thrilled to welcome a new advisor to our board — Marcin Kolago. Marcin is an experienced advisor and crypto builder, with a strong background in business strategy and crypto growth. His insights have already proved invaluable to our team, and we’re excited to work together on achieving our vision.

Product development

Development sprints through May focused on our portfolio management tools, although part of our team remained focused on launchpad development.

Our portfolio management tools, which include data aggregation services for tokens, DeFi and NFTs, are an important part of our core offering and allow our users to get a comprehensive overview of the market via their dashboard. Information is everything when you’re investing, and our mission is to make information as accessible and easy to use as we possibly can.

The aggregators are already pulling data from on- and off-chain sources and charting tools are currently being tested. We’re looking forward to sharing the beta for these products in the coming weeks!

Looking forward

June is already shaping up to be another huge month as we look to close out the quarter with a bang.

• Metacurse development sprints will begin focusing on mobile support, and we hope to put out a playable APK in the coming weeks
• Startups will be able to apply for incubation and fundraising ahead of our launchpad going live on mainnet
• Our portfolio management suite, which includes data aggregation for DeFi and NFTs, will move into beta testing
• Our dedicated community can look forward to some exciting events and reward opportunities
