The Philosophy Behind DegenHive: Open Accelerationism (0/acc)
At the core of DegenHive is the philosophy of Open Accelerationism (o/acc), which champions the belief that technological advancements should be open, inclusive, and benefit all humankind, not just a privileged few. The ”o” signifies open-source innovation and open-datasets, which the platform incentivizes the community to build on-top for the dynamic NFTs which the developers can later use to improve their AI models, unlocking a powerfull flywheel effect.
“o/acc” is inspired from “e/acc”, which advocates an explicit pro-technology stance (esp. in context of AI), believing it to be a solution to universal human problems. We believe that technology has brought a lot of good for the human species, but the problem lies in centralization of power / control over this technological influence in the hands of a few giants.
How does DegenHive helps AI creators?
At DegenHive, we make it easy for any AI developer to monetize their AI art via upgradable NFTs. Users need to win a weekly auction to become a creator on the platform so they can launch their own NFT collection (+ a lot of other benefits).
They can map any 2 customized AI models (Stable diffusion and an LLMA) with their NFT collection which the community can use to interact / create derivative content on-top of these NFTs. Their community is incentivized to do so via token incentives. This essentially helps the creator monetize their work ( NFT sales + recurring royalties + upgrade charges + social proof) and solves the dataset bootstrapping problem for them as their community is incentivized to create the open dataset using their AI models for them.
Tokenomics: Fueling the Ecosystem with BEE and HIVE
DegenHive has 2 core mechanics which give value to the dynamic NFTs, BEE and HIVE tokens -
- DeFi primitives: It supports AMM (PCL, stableswap, weighted) and Liquid staking (degenSUI), which convert collected protocol fees to degenSUI and distribute it among NFTs staked for governance power based on their HIVE balance.
- Protocol owned liquidity via weekly auctions: SUI raised through weekly auction process is collected as protocol owned liquidity and added to our SUI-HIVE and SUI-BEE pools, with LP tokens being burnt forever.
This implies that the community defined value of becoming a create on DegenHive helps create long-term liquidity to facilitate BEE and HIVE trading and adds an upward pressure on the price, unlocking a powerful economic fly-wheel effect for the protocol.
