Ashley Jones: Mother’s husband’s alleged murder may not have been her first amid not guilty plea

Weeks after being accused of helping her mother poison her stepfather, new details emerge about Ashley Jones’s role in the murder, while another man has hinted that it may not be the first life she has allegedly been willing to take, according to WHAS11.

Police responded to a report of a burglary at the home of Marsha Allen on Sept. 19, 2023, and shortly after, arrested the two men allegedly involved, Steven White and Nathaniel Napier, says the probable cause affidavit.

Lt. Adam Nicholson from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office writes in the affidavit that Steven laid out a conversation he’d had with Marsha’s daughter, Ashley Jones. Ashley reportedly told him that Marsha had murdered her own husband, Harold Allen, by poisoning him. Steven also admitted that Ashley recruited him and Nathaniel to break into Marsha’s home.

Harold Allen, 52, died on Dec. 20, 2022 at his home at 3287 N State Rd 135 in Freetown, Indiana, the affidavit states. Ashley lived at the address with him and Marsha, and continued to for some time after his death.

Medical records revealed that Harold went to the Schneck Medical Center on Nov. 27, 2022 complaining of “numbness on the left side of his face, also known as Parasthesia,” says…
