Courtney Clenney: Defense and prosecution reveal when they will be ready to go to trial

A better timeline has emerged of when former OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney will go to trial for the alleged murder of her boyfriend last April, while her defense attorneys continue dropping hints about the evidence that might prove she was defending herself when she killed him, according to MEAWW.

Clenney, 26, is accused of murdering her boyfriend, 27-year-old Christian Obumseli, on April 3, 2022. She claimed that Christian choked her and pushed her against the wall before she threw a kitchen knife at him, saying it landed in his chest, CBS previously reported.

However, a medical examiner has since determined the wound was inconsistent with a throw, and more consistent with a downward thrust of a knife, CBS added. Clenney has pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon.

Defense attorneys Frank Prieto and Sabrina Pugilisi showed up on Clenney’s behalf to a July 7, 2023 hearing, NBC states. MEAWW adds that they informed a judge they will be ready to go to trial at the end of this year or in early 2024.

“We absolutely will be going to trial. There’s not even a question. Courtney is innocent, and she will have her day in court,” Puglisis told the court.
