Johana Ramos: Arrested and accused of helping husband duct tape mother’s face during homicide
Following the arrest of her husband on June 6, 2023, police have now arrested and charged Johana Ramos for the violent murder of her mother, according to statements from the Northern York County Regional Police Department (NYCRPD).
Police in York, Pennsylvania responded to a call to 79 South Main Street in Dover Borough after a neighbor called 911, claiming that the woman next door asked her to call the police, the statement says.
Upon arriving at the home, police first spoke to 42-year-old William Emilio Torres Gautier, along with a woman and two children outside in the back, the statement explains. Police spoke to Gautier, though noticed the woman signaling for help.
According to the York Daily Record, citing the criminal affidavit, Gautier became verbally aggressive and demanded police leave the property. Johana apparently mouthed the words “help me” to police behind his back.
When they tried talking to her, Gautier became aggressive and pushed a wooden fence section at officers, striking one, the statement says. After a brief struggle with the man, police took him into custody.
