Beautiful butterfly, you are lovely
Like a tiny cloud that hugged a rainbow
And sneezes fluttering kisses to flower
How are you so elegant and so fair?
I once was a chubby caterpillar
Spent my days crawling and eating despair
I want to die so I hide in a cocoon
Broke apart everything I used to be
I did not think the world was made for me
Then one day I noticed the sun’s laughter
And I heard the wind’s gentle lullaby
I imagined what if I tried to fly?
What if I am happy and pretty too?
So I spread my wings and left my cocoon
