Her finger froze half an inch above the tiny white button….

Time paused to watch what happens next.

It took a few minutes before she realizes that she was not breathing. “Heeee” the sound of inhaling pierced the silent room like nails on a chalkboard.

Awkward entered the room dripping wet as if he just jumped into a pool with his long winter coat, two mismatched sweaters, and a heavy combat boots- it was the middle of the summer- but as usual, his attempt for attention was too easily ignored.

“Haaaa” there’s no release even though the air is flowing again.

It doesn’t matter anymore, she pushed the reset button flawlessly.

Time laughs.

“I’ve never felt this way before,” she told the one she adores.

“It’s as if we were made to be” he replies affectionally.

“Are you the one for me?”

“We shall see”

And they shared a life full of pain, stress, heartbreaks, disappointments injected with moments of joy, love, laughter, and happiness to keep them from ever fully letting go. And they grew old. Sometimes resentful. Sometimes grateful. Sometimes curious. And she always lets the bubbly Curiously wonders free-she love how Curiosity dances with gleeful movements of pure imagination.

She wonders: what if she could start all over again. She’ll pick a different dress, dance to a different beat, a new love, a new life… walk away and no repeats.

Time giggles and hands her a reset button.

She carefully held it in her hand as
her finger froze half an inch above the tiny white button…
