transmutation

if i said i wasn’t scared

i’d be lying

i just can’t sit in one place

slowly dying

with so much to see and do

always trying

so much to feel and to lose

all this crying

into this experience

i am prying

far beyond the greatest odds

i’m defying

to curate a middle ground

no one’s buying
