This is a template to help you write a weeknote about your experience of the Deloitte Digital Connect programme so far. It focuses on writing about how its been working out what to focus on for the programme, via your routefinder document.

It will help you reflect and share your experience with others in your organisation and on the programme.

The template contains lots of bullet pointed ideas. You don’t have to use every idea. Pick out the most important things you want to say. It’s OK to write about things on the programme that have worked for you and that haven’t.

The minimum you will end up writing is 8 sentences. You can write more than that if it helps you reflect or you’ve just got more to say!

Dive in below. Or get more help from these guides and templates.

How to use this template

1. Copy and paste the template into a new Medium post. Feel free to change the template if you want it to be different.

2. Add your own title. Be free, go wild. Or be simple.

3. Write as much as you like. 150–300 words is a good amount to aim for, but its OK if you write more.

4. Add images, if you wish. Start a new line, click the ‘+’ then the 📷or 🔍.) The DDC weeknotes guide shows you where to find images that are free to reuse. Or use images from your work.

5. Tidy it up — Double click on any word or sentence to format it (the little and big ‘T’s’ are excellent for sub-headings). Remove any left over template text.

6. Add it to the DDC Medium publication (then sit back and wait for an email from me letting you know its been published!)

  • what did it make you realise about your digital challenges?
  • what did it make you realise about digital more widely in your organisation?
  • was it useful? Why?
  • was it difficult? Why?
  • did it help you focus on a single goal?
  • what criticism would you have for the routefinder or the process of filling it in?

Add a subheading about the focus of your project

Write 2 or more sentences about where you are now in your project. You could talk about:

  • do you have a clear focus now or is it still hazy?
  • do you have a single focus or are there many?
  • is there a primary goal? Are there a secondary goals?
  • whats on your list and in what order?
  • what would help you get even clearer?
  • what feels realistic for you to achieve for the rest of the programme?
  • how do you feel about this now compared to the start of the programme?

Add a subheading naming whats next for your project

Write 2–4 sentences saying what your next step is. State what it is, why its the next step and how you hope it will help you move toward your goals.

Good luck!
