omg-DHC CM: We appreciate you time with us here. Let’s start the AMA.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience with blockchain and SportsIcon?

Micky Irons-CMO-SPORTSICON: Hi everyone, my name is Micky Irons. I’m the Chief Marketing Officer here at SportsIcon. I have a background in developing global marketing strategies, brand strategy, PR/Media planning and business development among many other things.

omg-DHC CM: Very nice. How about the team’s background and blockchain experience?

Micky Irons-CMO-SPORTSICON: Our team has a world of experience ranging back well before crypto was a thing and people traded stocks. One of our founders is a very successful entrepreneur, with this now being his third successful company. And of course, we’re all about sports here so who better to be founded by other than a Fifa match agent! The teams super strong from every possible angle, its a great pleasure working with these guys.

omg-DHC CM: Good to hear about the experienced team.

Now let’s talk about SportsIcon, the project and its inception. How did it come about?

Micky Irons-CMO-SPORTSICON: SportsIcon was launched to meet the specific needs of fans, athletes, teams and managers. The problem we saw had two faces: first, people became detached from their sporting heroes after the athlete’s active participation in sport ceased, and second, athletes and managers were unsure of how to engage with the burgeoning NFT market. Fans want to connect with their icons, and sports legends want to give something back to their fans — what was lacking was the framework to do so.

omg-DHC CM: And SPORTSICON is making that connection possible. Very cool.

omg-DHC CM: What are some of the unique aspects of SportsIcon?

Micky Irons-CMO-SPORTSICON: SportsIcon creates cinematic NFTs in collaboration with athletes that commemorate the journey through their lives and sporting careers that made them the icons they are. While regular digital content can be shared unlimited online, digital content in the form of an NFT becomes a unique asset that has provenance, originality and authenticity. Very exciting stuff.

omg-DHC CM: It sure is. I am assuming the governance token will have some important roles. Can you talk to us about it and some of its use cases?

Micky Irons-CMO-SPORTSICON: Sure

While our initial development is necessarily centralized, we aim to make the SportsIcon platform a truly community-driven project. We’re focused on building community governance systems where every $ICONS token coin holder has power and a voice.

Token holders can create proposals and vote on changes they want for the project at any given time. For this purpose, we have empowered the $ICONS token with voting rights. Holders of the token will have voting rights and power based on the number of tokens they hold and can debate, propose, and vote on all changes to the SportsIcon platform. This gives the community a true voice.

For a proposal or function to go through and be accepted by the community, most votes cast must be in favor. In a situation where there is more than one option, the proposal that has the highest votes wins. Platform users or community members will need to hold $ICONS tokens to vote, and the token will be locked until the voting period has finished.

omg-DHC CM: Nice. How about future partnerships and a little more info on the IDO?

Micky Irons-CMO-SPORTSICON: These are of the partnerships we’ve formed thus far but we’re actively seeking new ones. Soccerhub, Gamyfi, Cryptoxpress, Attrace, Matrix world, Rarerooms, Decentralabs.

SportsIcon welcomes synergies from far & wide.

Q: Do you have any plans to attract non-crypto investors to your project? Because it is the success of a project to get more investors who are still not in the crypto world. What are the plans to increase awareness around your project in non-crypto space?

A: Hello. Yeah of course! SportsIcon has actively been educated new inexperienced users to fully adapt and most importantly be ready for our IDO. Great question btw.

Q: As we know, every successful project has a few stories behind the scene, what’s the story behind projects success? Are there any special prototypes or upcoming SportsIcon updates that you want to show/share with us?

A: I can’t say too much but I’ll say this, we have a huge announcement coming out very soon! Probably our biggest yet but that’s not all.

Q: How do I make a marketplace for my items using OpenSea? How can I get support while building my items? What does OpenSea provide for my dApp?

A. Not sure how this is related to SportsIcon but I’d suggest you type that very question into YT :)

Q: Do I have to buy a character to start the game? Or this game completely free?

A. Our games are yet to come, can you see into the future? #Metaverse

Q: Nowadays NFT, DeFi and governance are too popular so do you plan to venture into any of these? If not then what is SportsIcon plan to gain popularity and mass adoption ?

A. This is simple, we’re already doing it. Our official white-paper will be released in the coming days. As for adoption, we’re going for global.
