Digital Weaponry

Combatting information systems

As Marshall McCluhan designated in the epidemic distinction of the metaphysical relationship of bits and atoms, the medium is the message. McCluhan describes how “new media have the power to transform human nature.”

How does the digital shape the way we think? Are we more intelligent due to our instantaneous access to information, or are we dumbed down by echo chambers of repetitive masturbatory euphoric rockets?

Basically, are humans inclined to progress or follow the latter? All in all, the message continues to be the filling, and the medium continues to be the topic of debate. Regardless of position in time, women and men have often pondered where the hell we are in the current state of time and existence.

Advancement is why.

What will this rock, stick, arrow, atlatl, bow, rifle, pistol, — the very fact that when thinking of things that would show the timeline of technological advances of mankind… all that came to mind was technological weapons… Why is that? What is the purpose of technology? Why as a man is my dignity in remembering history being instituted by technological weaponry?

Because of systems of control. To get at my point look at what Gerald R. Lucas states, in “Norman Mailer and the Novel 2.0.” Lucas states that “[o]ne of the most distinguishing characteristics of the digital age is its challenge to established systems of control.” Lucas’ point is much more than in this quotation, concerning intellectualism in relation to narrative and society basing itself on the position of media, but the fact that digital systems are challenging systems of control is revolutionary.

Competition. One word that describes what humans, just do. The technological weapon of our current time is the digital. Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially surpassed our physical limitations.

The top-down broadcasting of information is no longer the system of delivery — Hyper-textual content is.
