DeNet 2023 Results
As we reflect on the year 2023, we are once again thrilled by the significant amount of work accomplished and the results achieved. The services utilizing the DeNet Storage Protocol underwent significant enhancements to provide the best possible user experience. This has paid off: throughout the year, we have witnessed a growing number of individuals showing concern for their data privacy and becoming valuable contributors to the DeNet community. Product Progress
Our primary goal is to continuously develop our private and secure mobile storage solution. With over 80,000 users already on board, DeNet Storage remains the leading only choice in the market. We have implemented a range of different payment options, including cryptocurrency payments, Stripe-powered fiat payments, and in-app payments for iOS. Our seamless payment options position us as pioneers in the realm of Web3 applications.
The most important updates now include automatic background file backup, the ability to provide feedback with attachments for a better user-developer communication and support of multiple languages to ensure a seamless experience for diverse users.
- DeNet Node
DeNet Node has been through several significant updates with the release of DeNet Storage Protocol v3. One important update is the replication of file parts to all nodes in the network, ensuring maximum security for stored files for users, and maximum load for nodes. While three nodes are the minimum requirement for replication, there is no limit to the number of nodes that can store copies of a file. Stats for the updated version are available on Dune Analytics.
Additionally, the process of entering the network has been modified. Now, individuals need to have TBY on balance based on the number of existing nodes in order to launch a node. This update aims to enhance network stability, improve upload and download speeds, and provide a secure environment for all members.
Furthermore, more incentives are now available. In addition to receiving TBY_mined that can be withdrawn for sending proofs, there is also a system reward equivalent to 2% of the total TBY supply each year, which is distributed among all nodes in the network. The system reward increases as the network expands.
Over 17 TBY were distributed as a reward.
DeNet Payments has become an essential dApp for users of DeNet Storage Protocol services. It now offers a comprehensive range of features that cater to both storage users and Noderunners. With DeNet Payments, users open storage deposits, swap, choose from convenient storage plans, engage in staking and renting TBY, and enjoy a user-friendly interface complete with step-by-step instructions for becoming a Datakeeper.
Developments
- DE Token launch
A significant milestone has been reached! The DE token has been officially launched on the mainnet. The DE token serves as the governance and deposit token of the DeNet Storage Protocol, enabling participation in Consensus, management of protocol settings, and the issuance of TBY for accessing DeNet services.
- Miners becoming Datakeepers
DeNet made important changes in the internal terminology used to describe network participants. DeNet eliminated the term “Miner ‘’ in favor of “Datakeeper” which better reflects their pivotal role in the overall success of the DeNet ecosystem. As a result , there are already 15 dedicated Datakeepers.

- Website update
We have updated the DeNet website to provide the most relevant information about the DeNet Storage Protocol and its various built-in services. With the new user-friendly interface, it is now much easier to navigate through the website and explore detailed information about each service
- Store&Earn
The Store&Earn program has transformed the DeNet Storage user experience. Its concept is simple: by securely storing their data in a decentralized storage app, users are not only ensuring data safety but also earning rewards. By actively participating in the network, they have the opportunity to maximize these rewards. Whether it’s through sharing on social media, inviting friends, or launching nodes, these additional contributions unlock even greater benefits.
- Ambassador program
The newly launched Ambassador program is significantly elevating the DeNet community and making an invaluable contribution to the ecosystem. We have received over 300 applications to join the Storage Guru alliance, but after careful verification, we’re proud to have 50 dedicated Ambassadors who have already created over 400 tweets!
