During the recent discussion about gender pay gap in the European Parliament, an MEP claimed, that women must earn less because they are smaller, weaker and less intelligent than men. This is a statement in 2017! And this is unacceptable in so many ways!

Although gender equality has already come a long way during the past decades, there is still a long way to go.

Diversity is not just a buzzword at DAN Austria.
Diversity makes our lives interesting, inspiring and ultimately better as it allows each of us to grow in one’s personality. That is why we at DAN Austria have taken the principles of diversity very seriously in the past and will definitely do so in the future.

Our initiatives foster a more diverse, inclusive and equal workplace for women and men at DAN Austria.
Currently more than 60% of our staff is female and the majority of our teams are led by women.
On the one hand side we offer the same career opportunities and support to all our staff, salaries are linked to the positions and performance. On the other hand side we do have specific initiatives to support women having babies and kids to ensure they can perform in their jobs as well. Part-time jobs, home office and numerous working time models for those returning from maternity leave should make it easier for mums to manage their interests.

Of course we can always do better — and we will do better. Each day in an honest attempt to embrace our diversity!

#ConquerTheDivide and #beboldforchange — at DAN Austria as much as at DAN worldwide.
