DEOS Snapshot is Live

Snapshot verification tool at https://DEOSGames.com

It happened, we published snapshot for DEO tokens. It took many days to make it happen. Yeah, we went with not easy approach, as our snapshot date was May 25th, 9AM EST. So it’s slightly different than Genesis snapshot. You can check your snapshot balance at home page of https://deosgames.com

Steps needed to make it happen:

1. Get Ethereum local node working and syncronized. Took more than week on cloud to get sync. Looks like an issue with Ethereum as many claim.
2. Run script that read EOS Token Contract. Save all Transfer events that happened from Jun 20th 2017 till May 25th. Basically till particular block in Ethereum blockchain. In total we got like several gigabytes text tile with all transfers in it.
3. Calculate balances starting from contract initiation time. Yeah we got it right, as we tested it with latest balances first. Meant we run test calculations and checked till network freeze on June 2nd 2018, so our balance table was same as ETH balances of frozen ERC20 EOS Token.
4. Got EOS Crowdsale contract and read all Register events. Note, that newer registered keys were overwriten to every address, to make sure we use latest ones. Put that everything together with previously calculated balances.
5. Finally we got Genesis snapshot account names and EOS Public keys and matched with our previously combined table. Also we read current EOS public HTTP API to receive accounts that are associated with
6. Removed Exchanges accounts. Still, we got some exchanges to claim DEO distribution to their users. Once we verify amounts we will publish list of supported exchanges. For now we just keep them in the list with putting a mark on it.
7. Published at DEOS website so anyone can check and validate.

How to validate it correctly:

1. Preferably use your EOS account name to see your balance. Please remember balance will be shown at a May 25th, 9:00 AM EST . In case it doesn’t work you can use ETH address as well. You can use EOS Public key as well, however public key can be assigned to many accounts, so it might not show the one you have balance(especially if you used same public key to create more accounts later on).

DEOS Next steps:

1. We are going to release an update asap on how to receive your DEOS Tokens. Both from Snapshot and Telegram bot.
2. We are preparing a game to give it a try as one of first EOS Dapps.
3. In parralel we will be working on EOS fallback keys thing, as it’s still not finished. But that will be just ongoing work. DEOS Decided to keep our distribution active for big period of time, which might be a year from now. So no worries on your DEO tokens.
4. To those who earned tokens via Telegram bot, we get a list of those who entered EOS account names by June 30th end of day and stop the bot earning tokens. However you still can enter account names, as we see many just don’t have EOS accounts yet. Tokens will be released in batches, so first batch to those who entered account names by June 30th. The process also will come as separate post and website link.
