We are proud to work side by side with “DuelistKing”- a marvellous NTF game startup with high skilled DeFi veterans in the leading positions. We joined forces to make their digital monarchy worlds even more decentralized and democratized. DePay will enable DK’s players to utilize any token they own as a means of payment for NFT game cards, while leveraging shared insights to further expand the DePay protocol.

The importance of NFT games for DePay

At DePay, we currently see gaming as a cornerstone for the growth of the crypto community. Even non-tech-savvy individuals are now entering the crypto world through art and games via NFT’s. We are extremely happy not only to follow this development, but now also to help shape it to a certain extent.

Games have always connected most people. It is only with the popularity of NFT’s that the question increasingly arises: Do I own my game objects?

To put it boldly, game theory is the intersection between blockchain networks and the “old” Web 2 world. Where once most decision-making power rested with publishers and ownership was just a concept with the game console running, today thanks to NFT’s we see the exact opposite: true democratization and verifiable ownership of non-substitutable, individual digital objects.
The latter includes NFT game cards, such as those offered by DuelistKing.

About Duelist King

The Duelist King is a democratized NFT-based card game which aims to bring democracy and transparency to NFT gaming. Their values of fairness, equality and affordability stand out by design: Cards are issued according to the mystery box principle, while the infrastructure incorporates transparent and fair oracles and RNG’s.

The team behind the game puts great emphasis on integrating DAO elements that will give the player community strong influence via voting mechanisms. It is the first game built on the chain-agnostic DKDAO-environment, offering state of the art tools for crypto game developers.

The fact that the game founders created a functional version (including elaborate graphics) in just a few weeks shows that the game has massive potential for success.

Cards in the game are subject to enormous scarcity, as each of the collectibles is unique and receives a timestamp upon issuance. Moreover, replicas of cards will not exist in future.

Partnership Scope

DuelistKing will use the DePay protocol for the sale of its NFT game cards. DePay will develop a special configuration that will enable compatibility of the payment protocol with Oracles. The latter makes the partnership very valuable for future DePay releases, where oracles can be included protocol-wise in payments. As the first game to use DePay for fully decentralized payments, DuelistKing will allow their users to pay for their game cards with any token. By default, DePay converts the players payment token on-the-fly to the asset(s) selected by DuelistKing.
