5 tips to land your next product design job

Looking for a (software) product design job is challenging. Think portfolios, interviews, design challenges, and presentations – a significant investment of time and effort is required in the process. How might designers perform well under various constraints? How might designers better position and differentiate themselves? With a myriad of opportunities in the field of product design today, I thought it may be timely to share what I have learnt with you — a designer who may be looking out in the current market or someone looking to break into the industry — to hopefully increase your chances of landing that next job.

Here are 5 tips for you to land your next product design job. Let’s dive in!

Like it or not, your past work is often the first touchpoint for any hiring manager or team. In that unique context, what was the thought process like? How did you discover, prioritise, and ideate? What were some of the challenges faced?
