7 Figma Plugins to help you Design Faster
As designers, it’s important for us to make sure we spend more of our time designing & less time reinventing the wheel. Thankfully there are a lot of tools & plugins that we can use to speed up our workflow.
So here’s a list of 7 Plugins I use every day to save time & design faster.
Shadow Kit
We’ve all been there, finding the right drop shadow effect takes forever but there’s a faster way. Shadow Kit helps you quickly add shadows to your designs & customize them.
Handy Components
Designing basic components from scratch may take a hell lot of time. Thankfully, Handy Components provides great components like Text Fields, Buttons, etc which then you can customize.
User Profile
Adding Avatars to your designs makes them look more natural but finding the right images can be really time-consuming. User Profile helps you instantly add high-quality profile images to your designs.
SPELL
We all wish Figma had a spell checker so we could avoid all those awkward typos in our designs. But we do have SPELL that checks your design for spelling and grammar mistakes & suggests corrections.
Lorem Ipsum
Although using lorem ipsum might not be the best practice but there are times when you just have to do it. As the name suggests, this plugin helps you quickly paste Lorem Ipsum into your designs without leaving Figma.
Iconify
A lot of times we find ourselves looking for a specific icon that your icon pack doesn’t have. Finding it on the web is time-consuming & you may still not find the style you need. Iconify helps you find any icon you need within a few clicks from a huge list of open-source icon packs.
Detach Components
Although components are great, sometimes we just wanna get rid of them. It’s a shame that Figma doesn’t let you detach components. This plugin will help you achieve exactly that & will save you time & frustration.
BONUS: Stark
It’s important to make sure that our designs are accessible. Now creating accessible designs is a lot of work but it’s important for both your users as well as your business. Stark helps you get started with a few quick accessibility checks.
