Hullo! As usual, it’s a pleasure to see you here. Walk with me as I attempt inclusive UX Writing.

Scenario: An elderly user is doing a Google search to find an easy way to buy contact lenses online.

Challenge: Write a title and meta description for a website that sells subscription contact lenses delivered to a user every 30 days — convince them to try it.

Title: 60 characters max
Meta Description: 160 characters max

Using the Internet is as seamless as a breeze to us, but to some people with certain needs and in certain age groups, it’s something they might need extra help with or more time navigating.

Today, I have an elderly user attempting to buy contact lenses, which means the writing has to be accessible, helpful, useful, and easy to understand.

In case you were wondering what a title and meta description are, these two things appear on your page when you search for something on Google, for example. If the SEO is done well, that's why it pops up on the first page. SEO Writing is a kind of writing that puts ranking and being discoverable in mind and I will be attempting to hack visibility and inclusivity.
