We love to refresh (a page on) an app! We want to get the latest update from the app, whether more posts/stories, payment/order confirmation, document/form submission or simply to reconnect after a lost connection. And our most intuitive reaction is to touch and pull down the scroll to refresh the page. In the desktop world, this would be equivalent to the Cmnd+R shortcut, which I am sure must be the most used shortcut ever.

Since pull-to-refresh has monopolized the way we refresh a page on an app, it is almost criminal to not have that option in an app right? Yet many ubiquitous apps just couldn’t fit it in. So, does this spark any ideas? Do you want to brainstorm some solutions together? Tweet quick doodles here and let’s see how it goes. Really, what could go wrong🤷‍♀️🤪: https://techcrunch.com/gallery/worst-volume-controls/
