Graphic Design Skills Every UX Designer Should Know
Today I will share the real things I had to know about graphic design in my first 3 years as a UX Designer.
Life can be tough when you have the word Design in your job title but don’t have a graphic design background. Some might say that if you are into UX research or UX writing and strategy you don't need it, but the world outside is exclaiming something else.
I never called myself a graphic designer and didn't expect people to have related expectations of it, I had no idea that being a generalist in UX would end up shaking at the sleeping/dead artist inside me.
I first became interested in UX Design in 2020 while working to improve my website(travel blog, which was dying due to the pandemic). I was exploring CRO strategies, and it became clear that UX was the missing piece of the puzzle. So, I went for it, I started to search for courses and soon I realized that I could start a career by adding my previous knowledge in tech and digital products.
The information I had was that I didn't have to hold any background in graphic design or art. So everything was well covered, at least I thought it was.
