Microsoft Cares About Your Junk
and probably helps you to avoid phishing and junk mails.
I love smart UX decisions. Tiny design elements that solve a vast problem. The 80–20 things. The low-hanging fruits. You get the point.
Here is a simple scam/phishing that occurs (at least on this side of the world):
- The scammer picks up your LinkedIn profile.
- Finds your current organization.
- Identifies the CEO/CXOs name
- Sends you an email on your personal/work email with their name, asking for a quick reply for some ‘urgent’ work.

Something like this:
Most of the time, they’re really just spoofing your bosses name, with the real sender email being either something super random (pqwirhqwqt@random-domain.com) or something that is close to bosses' email, but not really (your-bosses-name@random-domain.com).
