In most interviews, you will likely have the opportunity to ask the interviewer questions towards the end of the conversation. It is easy to overlook the importance of this opportunity because the pressure is usually around preparing how to respond to questions. In this article, I like to share some ideas on the best approach for this portion of the interview and focus on how to obtain relevant information for your own benefit.

From the interviewer's perspective, giving the candidate a chance to ask questions is a courtesy for the candidate to learn more about the interviewer, the position, and the company. For the interviewee, asking thoughtful questions is a chance to obtain more information about the job and an opportunity to end with a great impression.

A job interview is a two-way street. While it is crucial to convince the employers that you are a good fit for the job, it is just as vital for you to figure out whether the job is the right fit for you. If you are taking the job offer just because it offers good benefits, you are potentially committing yourself to a miserable work experience, which may also affect your personal life.
